The Animal Forest
Rainy Thursday

Yes I have yet another new outfit. I will actually be wearing this one for a while, since I change clothes pretty often.

Today Lakeside was getting more showers. No watering flowers for me.

Nook’s had a special item in stock, and it turned out to be an exotic chest. I bought it and a righty desk, both for my catalog. Still no sign of the silver fishing rod. :/

I walked around town and dug up a couple gyroids because of the raining my town has been doing lately. Though it is summer, I’ve still yet to see a thunderstorm in Lakeside.

I visited Simon and he reminded me about the Flea Market on Sunday.

I still haven’t gotten a replacement for Moe even though he moved out over a week ago… The place where his house used to be still remains barren.

I talked to Astrid who asked me to deliver a present to Amelia for her.

I always hate helping out the animals because the rewards for doing so never make it worthwhile. Like this time, Astrid gave me a regal carpet for delivering a mosaic wall. If only the animal pictures still existed from ACWW, then helping the animals out would be plenty worthwhile.

I talked to Elvis who told me a high-pressure sales clerk convinced him to buy an Egyptian outfit. He asked me to buy it from him for 666 Bells… So I have a sneaky suspicion that it’s cursed.

I bought it so someday I can match it with the King Tut helmet.

I deposited some money in the bank, and I’m up to 500,000 Bells now.

I tried Serena for a gold axe, and I thought I was really close so I referred to a guide. Still, I failed and didn’t get a gold axe, but I did get my axe back. Meh…

After this, I saw a green balloon floating in from the right. I took a picture because I thought it looked pretty cool from so close up.

To conclude my day, I searched for two fish I was missing, the giant snakehead and the piranha, and decided to harvest all my foreign fruits for the day to earn a couple hundred thousand Bells.

It’s a Flea Market

Yes, I have different eyes from before. I used ACToolkit to change my eyes because I don’t like the arch eyes anymore. This is the only thing I’ve ever hacked/cheated though. And it’s possible to change your eyes without hacking anyway, you can make another character and transfer all of your belongings over, it’s not hard.

Okay, enough public service announcements. It was looking really really cloudy by the time I got on today.

I spotted a retro TV at Nook’s and bought it. The retro TV is an amazing item on GameCube, but I still want a TV so I can see weather forecasts. I placed it in my kiddie room.

After stopping in Nook’s I caught an emperor butterfly (these fly very fast so they’re hard to catch).

A few seconds later I caught another one! There’s an easy 5,000 Bells.

Here I was glad to see a black rose, which I haven’t bred in a few days. I’m trying to make as many gold roses as possible, so my town is full of gardens breeding for black roses. This black rose was hiding behind my peach tree. :P

Butch had fleas, but I didn’t snag them for him. I just didn’t feel like it. :P

The billboard told me that the flea market is this weekend. I’ll participate since I may be able to snag some items for the catalog.

I stopped by the museum to donate a fossil, dorado, and a birdwing.

To wrap up my day in Lakeside, I gave a shot at the golden axe stuff with Serena. She got angry with me.

Serena is like a woman… you say one thing wrong and it’s over. You have to be extremely careful with what you say I guess… haha.

Summer Break! (and Father’s Day)

Sorry for not posting in a LOOONG time. I haven’t been playing a lot of ACCF lately because of boredom from it. But I’m getting back into the groove of things, and I’m starting to enjoy the game again. Also, I’m on summer break! :D

Anyway, I stepped outside and Pete gave me a new DLC. I know the creepy set is coming out over the next few months, but I’ve never gotten the first piece even though it was due for the first few days of June. And this DLC was the creepy bat stone, the second piece of DLC. So I missed one for absolutely no reason. -.-

It looks pretty cool, I’m excited to collect the whole set as it comes out. I’ll just have to get the first DLC by some other means.

I went to Able’s and got the straw hat. I don’t know why but I like it. :P I later decided to go get a new hair-do and throw on a new shirt as well, the New Year’s Shirt for 2012. I like the ensemble to be honest.

I tried for a gold axe from Serena, but no luck.

I headed into Nook ‘n’ Go, and I noticed something weird. The storefront item is so tall it covered the item that was behind it. I looked at a bunch of different angles, but no matter how hard you try you couldn’t see what was behind the storefront.

I was hoping it was a cool item I had never seen before, but it was just a traffic cone… lame. My destiny was not fulfilled. Someday the storefront will bless me with something cool.

When I was walking down by the ocean, I noticed a fin. I practically got a perfect view of it. Since sharks and hammerheads don’t appear during the day, I knew it had to be an ocean sunfish. It’s not valuable, but I haven’t caught the thing yet so it was still nice.

And here it is!

Today is Father’s Day, so a notice on the billboard was posted about it. My character also received a letter from his Dad about Father’s Day with a red carnation bag attached. Now I can crossbreed the pink carnations with red carnations for white carnations!

Lakeside was also getting quite a shower, so watering flowers was not required for today! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Serena the Fountain Goddess

I was walking out on the town when I ran into Pete the postbird.

I found two hybrids, a pink rose, and an orange rose. My hybrid collection is up to 32 so far.

Also, I ran into my new villager, Butch.

As it turns out, he moved from my little brother’s town, Somerset.

Since the fountain is completed now, and Tortimer is not standing in front of it, I can wish for a golden axe from Serena the fountain goddess. I have plenty of axes stocked up in my storage because I’m sure this will take a while. :P

Anyway here’s my first shot at it.

It was looking like I was close, but I must have pushed the slider down one too many notches. I forget exactly what you’re supposed to do…

Well at least I got my axe back. That’s all for now.

Start of June!

I stepped outside to a goodbye letter from Patty.

Glad she’s gone, I’m anxious to see who her replacement will be.

I went to Nook ‘n’ Go to buy an axe. I’m stocking up on them for when the fountain is constructed.

Also, many of my flowers were wilted from not playing in over a week, so I need to work on replacing those…

I saw a cyan balloon, shot it down, and it contained a brick block. I think I have all the Mario items now, but I’m not decorating my house with them just yet.

While walking around, I caught an orchid mantis. I believe it’s worth 2,400 Bells. I also caught a darner dragonfly, which is one of the many new bugs out for June!

I ran a couple more errands around town, and then headed for the city. Phineas was there, so I got an indigo balloon from him. Purple is my favorite color, so how nice.

I went to Crazy Redd’s, and here’s the lowdown.

Basketball hoop, proper painting, trash can. I purchased the basketball hoop because I thought I’d never see it again. It turns out I already have the proper painting, so I didn’t get it.

Nothing else to really do today, so I guess that concludes the post.

Hey, I’m Ungrounded

I haven’t posted at all in the past two weeks or so. I got grounded, but now I’m back on my feet and I’ll even try to post more often to make up for it.

Thanks for understanding

This is an intro I made for my YouTube videos. I think it turned out nice.

Redd Shoes

Found yet another blue pansy. My white pansy garden must be a hot-spot or something.

Nook was selling a kiddie chair so I bought one. I know I already have a kiddie chair in my house, but the way I’m desigining it I need a bunch of them.

Making my rounds, I fell into a pitfall that I didn’t even see. The dig-spots really know how to blend into the dirt, geez.

I found the money rock next to the town hall and got 8,100 Bells from it. I think Elvis was wondering what the hell I was doing here, lol.

I visited Frobert just because the path leading to his house was re-growing grass (the ONLY situation that you want your grass to die). Apparently it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve seen him.

A bit random, but I’ve never actually shown my flag so I wanted to dedicate this picture to it. It’s the Japanese flag. I don’t know why but I just like Japanese stuff. :P

I got some fossils identified and sold them. I deposited some extra cash into my ABD account and my balance is 290,000 Bells. That’s pretty good considering I recently donated a total of 600k Bells to the town fund for a bridge and fountain.

I visited the city for Crazy Redd’s new stock of items today. Oh, and don’t ask what Crazy Redd and I are doing here.

A blue table, dynamic painting, and daffodil table. I need nothing but the blue table for the catalog.

I also got a shoe shine from Kicks to match my clothing.

I shot down a green balloon and took this mid-shot. I think I captured it perfectly!

It contained a siphon. I then talked to Elvis who asked me to grab him furniture that was “TV-tastic.” Meh, if I see a TV in Nook’s one day or another, I’ll grab it, but I’m not ordering from the catalog.

I visited Simon and he wanted a grass shirt. What’s up with all the favors?

Since Simon is my favorite (next to Astrid), I’ll order a grass shirt from the catalog.

Back to Nook ‘n’ Go

I walked around Lakeside and found no hybrids… all of my gardens just made extras of their parent flowers (4 extra flowers that I don’t want). Ugh.

However I reached the bulletin board and found this message.

Nookington’s has downgraded to Nook ‘n’ Go. Yes, a couple of days ago Tom Nook asked me as I was exiting the store what I value as a shopper. I told him “good hours” and now I have Nook ‘n’ Go back! I like Nook ‘n’ Go’s hours but I don’t like the lack of a selection… well whenever I decide to go late-night fishing, I’ll be able to sell all my fish and won’t have to worry about store hours (or maybe I will. I stay up pretty late, lol).

I shot down a balloon present from a cyan balloon and got a ranch armchair. Don’t know if I have this in the catalog yet (it doesn’t sound familiar).

Patty asked me for a new catchphrase but I declined. She then proceeded to cry. Just move away from Lakeside already.

I find that really annoying about this game… the animals do talk to you pretty often which is a good thing, but 90% of the time they just ask for a new catchphrase or greeting. And 99.9% of the time I don’t care what their greeting or catchphrase is.

Anyway, I mentioned in an earlier post that Rod was moving away. He’s shoved off a few days ago, but just today a new villager moved in. He’s a monkey named Simon.

I’ve had Simon in a really old ACCF town of mine, and he was easily my favorite villager at the time. Glad he’s back because he’s cool!

I talked to Moe and he told me this. Uh…

Shortly after my short and strange conversation with Moe, I shot down a fire bar from an orange balloon. The fire bar is a Mario item, by the way.

Today’s Wednesday, so new Crazy Redd items are available. Here’s the usual lowdown.

A blue bed, flowery painting, and a range. I took the blue bed and flowery painting for my catalog and for the museum, respectively.

I had some fossils checked out so I could sell them, and I tried to donate the flowery painting… Blather’s looked at it and said “HOORK!”.

Argh. Maybe next week Crazy Redd can stop selling forgeries.

I remembered Astrid wanting a piece of “bedlike” furniture, so I gave her the blue bed from Redd. She gave me a wagon wheel in return… lame.

Oh well. See you next time.

Lucky Master Sword

So I found an orange pansy at this garden. I have all the pansy hybrids now.

I found a hockey mask at the Able Sisters, so I bought it. It’s great if you want to look really creepy AND stupid.

I also found another pink rose. Two hybrids in one day; that’s a first.

I got two posts on the bulletin board. Today is Patty’s birthday. I didn’t go talk to her though because I don’t like her and wouldn’t mind her moving away. It’d actually be pretty nice.

Nookington’s had a Master Sword in stock. I believe it’s a lucky item, so I’m going to buy it for my lucky room in my house.

Speaking of villagers moving away, Rod told me about a week ago that he was planning on it. He’s finally packed up and ready to shove off. I hope I get someone cool moving into Lakeside. Maybe someone from Chris’ town, Azura.

I checked a list online and the Master Sword is indeed lucky. Now I have four lucky items in my lucky room.

I didn’t check what Redd was selling yesterday, so went today. He’s selling an exotic end table, a violin, and a wistful painting. I bought the wistful painting and exotic end table.

I returned to Lakeside and immediately donated the wistful painting. No forgery! How nice!

I found the money rock and got 8,200 Bells instead of the usual 8,100. I have the silver shovel now, which means that one of the hits to the rock will double the amount given. For example, the first time you hit the rock you normally get 100 Bells. But with the silver shovel, you may hear a *shing* sound as the money comes out of the rock. This means the amount was doubled. So instead of 100, you got 200 for that one hit. If you’re lucky, you can double the last hit and get an 8,000 Bell bag instead of just 4,000!

After this, I watered my flowers and ended my day in Lakeside.
